Appreciation Post: Sriti Jha

Last 4 months I watch Kumkum Bhagya or Lonceng Cinta in Indonesian TV. Kumkum Bhagya (KKB) is one of Indian serial. First time I don’t really understand with serial. I know Bollywood more than Tellywood (serial). After I follow its plot, I realize that Tellywood has good stories, great and very dedicated actors-actress.

From KKB, I know and I interested with Sriti Jha.

Sriti Jha was born on February 26, 1986 in Bihar. She moved to many cities, but now she has her-own-house in Mumbai. Before Mumbai, she lived in Dharbanga, Calcutta, Kathmandu, and Delhi. Sriti started her career as Telly actress on January 8, 2007. She played as Malini in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom – that was her debut. She got that role after did audition in her college.

And yeah! This year (2017) she completed 10 years her career as a Telly actress!

From May 15, 2014 she plays as Pragya in Kumkum Bhagya. Her acting is absolutely great. She plays Pragya very well. Her chemistry with Shabir Ahluwalia is extremely-breathtakingly good. Sriti and Pragya is quite similar. Pragya loves reading book, so does Sriti. Sriti got many awards through her character as Pragya :

-Favorite Pati Patni Rishta (with Shabir Ahluwalia) in ZRA 2015

She loves literature, she loves classic movies. Her favorite Bollywood star is Waheeda Rehman. Her favorite Bollywood film is Pyaasa.

Yes, obviously I adore her. She has achievements, she has personality, and beauty. She is a cheerful person, a hardworking actor, such a sweetheart and humble person, but still keep her personal life from media. Eventhough she keeps her personal life from media, but she is very honest and open with her family.

No doubt that I admire her because of KKB. I watch her other shows/serials too. Her acting is superbly consistent. From first serial (show) till now. Her acting is even better.

In Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, she played as Malini. She was 21, but Malini is 16. She was very cute played as Malini. Her expression was very good. Also her chemistry with Vikrant Massey.

In Jiya Jale, she played as Sunaina. Her co-actor was Saurabh Pandey. She acted again with Saurabh Pandey in Shaurya Aur Suhani. In here, Sriti played as Suhani (Rajkumari Suhani). She was very beautiful and sweet in here. She was so Rajkumari look 

In Rakht Sambandh, she played as Sandhya, a blind girl. I think Sandhya was challenging character for her. She played and did it very well!

In Jyoti, she played as Sudha. Eventhough not the lead role, but she had double role in here. She played as Sudha who was really simple (no makeup, traditional look, and typical of girl that stayed at home) and glamour-modern Devika. These roles were very contrast, but she did it very well. Ya, she did it.

Then, there is Dil Se Di Dua....Saubhagyavati Bhava. She played as Jhanvi/Sia. Her co-actors were Karanvir Bohra and Harshad Chopda. She played as tortured wife, her husband was Viraj (KVB). Her sad, frustation, scared expression was totally good! Her chemistry with Harshad Chopda was really sweet. She played with 2 actors and she built chemistry with both of them very well.

Next, she played as Gangaa in Balika Vadhu. Gangaa was simple like Sudha, but Gangaa was very brave. Her intense eyes were so good in here. She challenged with some physical scenes, when Gangaa had to run from villains and when Gangaa hit and beaten by villains.

And the very well-known show. Kumkum Bhagya! Like I said before, she played as Pragya. And ordinary, open minded, and smart girl that married with Abhi The Rockstar as her bhagya (fate). I’ve no words about her character in KKB. Her acting is very very well.

I feel that Sriti Jha is one and only Telly Actress who I love, admire, adore.
