2020 introduces me to the effortlessly expressive Ridhima Pandit. I know her from Hum – I’m Because of Us on ALTBalaji, it released in 2018 but I just watched it this year eheheh. Ridhima was a celebrity manager, Raveena Tandon’s manager to be specific. Then, she did many ads in different languages. Besides acting gigs, she is a model potential I swear!! She did anchoring as well with Raghav Juvyal on dance competition show.
Her debut work on tv is Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant on 2016, a comedy drama show. Yup as you know very typical me hehehe, I watch Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant in this year also (after looong time the show khatam/finished). She played as a robot! And the role is hers!! Rajni was a IQ200 robot, had no lies, feeling, tired feature, Rajni observed everything well, and accepted command. Ridhima is just mind-blowing as Rajni: her voice intonation, her gestures (she made it clearly different between Rajni on normal mode with action mode), her instant expression changing between Rajni’s normal mode and dance mode, … (I can continue it, but you still won’t read it all either). The hard point I spot is how she breathes – robot doesn’t breathe, Rajni did dance & stop in seconds – and she had to steady her breath lightly in seconds, so cameras didn’t catch her body moves while breathing (I know she does yoga & filming/editing process could make it possible easily, but hypothetically & practically it’s hard). And oh she did double roles!!
Ridhima has done two web series: Yo Ke Hua Bro? with Shamita Shetty & Aparshakti Khurana. The plot twist is so fun to watch and damn gurl, her voice when she acted angry is on point!!

Her role as Devina in Hum is complex, from happily in love till mentally breakdown. Last two episodes gave me goosebumps while I was watching it. Devina was a typical girl next-door & the eldest sibling, her romantic scenes with Rahul (Kushal Tandon) are sweet and convincing!! They were (and/or are) beautiful as a couple!!
Yasss she did tv show again, with Balaji again! The title is Haiwaan, she worked with Param Singh & Ankit Mohan. Haiwaan is a weekend thriller show, she played as a cop. Fyi, she is getting glowing day by day!! She killed any attire on this show: Indian clothes and cop uniform. My most favorite thing is her gesture, she did it naturally! Her upright shoulders when she was in cop uniform, elegant in Indian clothes, and romantic gesture for Amrita-Randhir’s moments!
Especially this scene: when Amrita realized her blouse button/zip(?) was opened accidentally, Amrita awkwardly panic tried to hide & fix her blouse. That awkwardly panic gesture is not extra at all.
This kinda scene is usually needed extra/dramatically gesture, but, look at her expression and gesture!! she did it naturally. It gives me reference that that-kinda-blouse-fixing scene can be done in simple & pretty ways. Other two best parts are she looks comfort while acting with Param Singh, Ridhir’s (Amrita-Randhir) romantic scenes are hot I must say! Their close distance while doing romantic scenes are suggestive (I’m sorry I can’t find another word loool). Another one is slow motion effect for Amrita’s walking from Randhir/Ansh’s pov, I know it’s sooo filmy but I love it!!
And oh Ridhima is the 2nd runner up of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9!!! This girl has all face, talent, and physical strength uff *chef’s kiss*. Even though she started her tv show debut quite later, she already has broad audiences and friends/partners inside & outside the entertainment industry. She proves that she aces how to adjust and try every opportunity that comes to her way. Finger crossed for your ahead journey, Ridhima. Pls surprise me more with more out of the box projects/roles.
I can’t get over this girl that makes me want to make another fan girl insta acc. But, I’m in extreme dilemma whether I should make one or not. Can I manage it for long time next? Besides celebrating her talent, what’s my motive to make that fan page? Can I get enough content to be uploaded on that page? Can my page develop and make good differences/progress?
This appreciation post is not organized and poetic, but some parts I tried to make it detail, some parts were just my random thoughts. Thank you for you who read it till the last line. Go and showering my Ridhima with much love and support. (also pls tell her about this poor writing just so she knows that her works strike me in these thousand miles away from her).
