This post is second part of http://pareshani-piya.blogspot.com/2017/02/appreciation-post-sriti-jha.html
I can’t delete previous appreciation post, because that was my process in describing my admiration to Sriti. I don’t know how long this post would be, cause actually Sriti Jha is beyond words worthy. Sriti Jha won me. Effortlessly.
I didn’t use to watch TV show earlier because I felt that I don’t have enough patience to wait the next episodes. But then, I start watch Kumkum Bhagya on around 2016 (kudos to antv for airing it).

My first impression was Pragya’s dupatta stucked on Abhi’s leather bracelet and Allah Waariyan song played. Honestly I couldn’t held my blushing feeling, it was lovely scene!
first scene i've watched in kkb. (eps 25, telecasted by zee: may 19, 2014) |
second impression xoxo :") |
At the same time I felt that Pragya was too simple to be a heroine. Especially that red-yellow saree, it seems that she wore oversized saree (kinda disliked it sorry). It was good though, at least she wasn't overdressed.
eps 59, telecasted by zee: july 14, 2014 |
Next impression was Abhi tried to intimidate Pragya with stepping on the dining table and being close to Pragya. It cracked me, it was funny and sweet scene at once! And oh I got the plot and characters in two or three days next. They (kkb team) actually made Pragya as simple as she could be yet independent and tough. Just like Abhi, I fell into Pragya because of her eyes! She could take any risks for her family, also was outspoken about thing she likes and dislikes, was afraid of cockroach, and other little things which make me attach to her.
I googled Sriti, she also played in Balika Vadhu (Anandhi: titled by antv). I watched BV only for Sriti. Perhaps Ganga looked minor, but my only impression was she is very strong! If possible, I can re-watch BV only to attach more with Ganga. For me, Ganga has better honesty level than Pragya haha. Sriti ends her part in BV with sweetest way: one fine morning of Ganga-Jagdish!
I watched other Sriti’s masterworks here and there, piece by piece, randomly just like puzzle because yeah I had lack of sources. But, it’s clear that she has done variety scripts and characters. In inconsistent industry, she is consistently growing and dedicated! You could ask people out there about Dhoom Machao Dhoom and how they hook it until now. The submissive wife Jhanvi in Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava, I believe it was not easy character to play.
Then, I searched Sriti Jha on twitter and instagram. Her insta posts are about traveling, photography, and books. She doesn’t brag branded things, even she is so confidence with her no-makeup-looks. She is well-educated, gains success, and very low-profile person! She behaves very normal, like she’s not a star. I stan for Sriti Jha for showing herself as a person, not a star.
She spreads her talent wings to be a storyteller. It’s open secret that she loves reading. She loves writing poems as well yet barely share it. She shares ‘Nani aur Pustak’ poem, eventhough I don’t understand the literal meaning but I’m sure it’s a sincere poem about past moment. Since she joins books on toast vibes, she proves again that she is talented indeed. Both of ‘Chaabi gum gayi hai’ and ‘Chudiyaan’ are hit! She has very nice writing contents and performs it really well. I’ve heard ‘Mere Kaale Ghate’ too and it’s on loop hearing. I stan for Sriti Jha for exploring her talents, friend circles, experiences, and for having self-quality: consciousness to grow as a better person for herself and her surroundings.
I stan for Sriti Jha for inspiring effortlessly. She posts a lot about books, indirectly she convinces me to reading books more. Her open-minded thoughts ensure me that it is because of her reading habit. I stan for her choice to keep her love-life away from media, through this I learn to respect people’s privacy and life decisions. Related to this, I stan for her big-hearted personality. Sometimes I read mean comments on her insta, but she is calmly never reply it. (addition: i’ve heard from some fans, when in meet-and-greet event, unknown fans pulled her hair because they were too excited to meet her. i’m sure she’s quite trauma because of it, but she always willing to take pictures with fans until now, wherever and whenever. she is never rude to anyone.) On one interview, her eyes tell that yes those mean comments hurt her, but she just wants people to be understanding. On other ocassions, she keeps telling that everyone should be kind, because kindness is infectious – once we are kind to people, they will be kind to others, and repeatedly – this particular thing affects me for being better and ‘healthier’ fan. In short, she is so positive in all manners!
Stay blessed and positive, Sriti!
